Originally from the Annapolis, MD area, Ken Saylor gained sailing experience while growing up from his mother and father who both cruised and raced in local fleets.
Ken opened the North Sails loft in Hampton, VA in 1983 and has run it every since.
Ken's top 5 sailing accomplishments:
Two-time winner of the J-30 North American Championships
1st in class and overall in the Newport Bermuda Race
1st in class at Key West Race Week (4 times)
1st in class and overall in the Lauderdale- Key West Race
1st in class at Block Island Race Week
While much of his time is taken up by sailing, he also enjoys fishing on free weekends, driving his 1952 MGTD, and traveling as much as possible.
