Premium Paneled 300
North Soft NorLam™ XW/XG laminated polyester sail cloth

North Premium Paneled 300 radial sails are made using laminates consisting of a mylar film core sandwiched between two thin layers of woven polyester fabric. They deliver lighter weight, lower stretch and improved shapeholding for small-to-midsize cruising and racing boats. The woven yarns carry load in the primary strain directions while the mylar film limits distortion in the off-threadline direction. The woven polyester outer layers maintain a soft feel for easy handling while radial construction delivers lower stretch and a smoother, longer lasting shape.

Premium Paneled 300 sails are designed for recreational cruising and canbe specifically optimized for performance cruising, class racing, handicap rules or rating rules.

North sail designers use the same North Design Suite design software to create our 300 sails as they do for our dominant 3D molded sails, and can draw from the world’s largest library of winning racing sail designs (“molds”). This means North can produce a competitive 300 sail for virtually any sailboat or sailboat class.
